I’m Gemma, founding director of Robin’s Nest Vets. I graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 2011, but being a Harrogate lass myself, I couldn’t resist making my way back to God’s Own County (and the Yorkshire Tea!).

Since graduating, I’ve gained extensive experience working in a variety of veterinary clinics across the UK, including 24-hour veterinary hospitals, where I also worked night shifts. These experiences have given me a broad understanding of veterinary care and the different needs of pets and their owners.

I founded Robin’s Nest Vets to offer something a little different: a more personal, friendly and relaxed approach to veterinary care, right in the comfort of your own home. I understand that visiting the vets can be stressful for some animals, so home visits allow pets to remain in familiar surroundings, helping them feel more comfortable and behave naturally during their appointments.

My aim is to make veterinary care as calm, compassionate and convenient as possible, while giving every pet the individual attention they deserve. Whether it’s a routine appointment or more sensitive end of life care, I believe in treating every animal with kindness, patience and dignity.

Most importantly, Robin’s Nest Vets is about building trusting relationships with pets and their owners, providing care that puts their comfort and wellbeing first

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Gemma has been treating our elderly cat and the service has been excellent. He’s much less stressed being at home and chooses to be examined in bed rather than us stressing him in the car.

The difference between here and other vets in Harrogate, is that Gemma doesn’t rush. Everything is explained in detail, and she listens to what we say, want and really listens. There’s no pressure or hidden costs to anything, she is always on time, and she drops off his medication for him. We sadly had to use Gemma's end of life services today for my beautiful 15 year old Jack Russell Lady 💕 Gemma was caring and compassionate, she explained everything to us in a non-scary way that made the whole process as bearable as it could be.

We could not have asked for a better end of life for our much loved seven year old English bullterrier Dottie.Gemma was so professional ,but warm hearted,explaining everything that was going to happen.We had  a devastating diagnosis of widespread carcinoma(inoperable) for our dear pooch this week  and faced with where we go from there....having this end of life event, in her home, cuddled by us,with no other distractions meant so much to us.Thank you Gemma .Gina&Chris Richards.
